Hunza Sugar Mills (Pvt.) Ltd. (Distillery & Carbon Dioxide) ensures that Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) remain its top priority to achieve maximum stakeholders’ satisfaction. Hunza Sugar Mills (Pvt.) Ltd. (Distillery & Carbon Dioxide) aims to become one of the leading Extra Neutral Alcohol (E.N.A), E.N.A Anhydrous and Liquified Carbon Dioxide manufacturer and exporter in Pakistan and region.

Commitment to Continual Improvement:

We believe in continual improvement, which always encourages us to protect the environment and provide a safe workplace to every individual and contractor
in the organization through proper implementation of the EHS management system.

Environmental Protection and Pollution Prevention:

To protect the environment and dedicate efforts to prevent pollution, we will identify environmental aspects and impacts associated with our processes and
measures to minimize or eliminate them.

Setting Objectives and Targets:

We will set SMART objectives and targets for EHS and take actions to achieve them on timely matter by following PDCA cycle

Hazard Identification and Risk Management:

To ensure a safe working environment, we will identify, assess, and control hazards and risks associated with our activities, products, and services. Further we will implement measures to mitigate workplace hazards

Promotion of EHS Awareness:

We will promote EHS awareness and enhance confidence among internal and external stakeholders by communication, provision of trainings, and promoting active participation of employees.

Contribution to Sustainable Development:

We will contribute to sustainable development through the effective management of EHS, including minimizing adverse impacts on the environment and local communities through responsible business practices and engaging with stakeholders to understand their concerns and expectations regarding EHS performance.

Compliance with Legal and Regulatory Requirements:

We are committed to complying with all
applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to environmental protection and occupational health
& safety.

Consultation and Participation:

We will ensure consultation and participation of workers as appropriate in decision-making processes related to EHS, including consulting with employees and their representatives on matters affecting their health, safety, and well-being.

Periodic Review and Communication:

We shall endeavor to achieve these commitments through the establishment of EHS objectives and ensure this policy is communicated to all employees and relevant interested parties, including customers and external providers. We will review this policy yearly or when needed for its continuing suitability and effectiveness.
